My name is Deniz Oncel, and I’m a first-year medical student at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. I am also a pre-doctoral research fellow at UCLA Doheny and Stein Eye Institute conducting research on retinal advancements as well as glaucoma and disparities in ophthalmology. In my free time, I enjoy going on walks with my dog, working out, hiking, traveling, cooking Turkish food, and painting.
